We completed install 600Watts of thin film solar panels yesterday. We selected to mount then on our large sun bimini rather than clutter our lovely boat line with an arch or modify the stern rails for rigid frames etc. The thing film panels are producing 100 Watts each, have less form factor at 22% efficiency.

Yesterday was a nice sunny day. We moved the boom out of the way and tested the Amp input from the panels. We were getting 20 Amps in the slip. Very impressive.

The real testing will be during our planned month of May cruise of Bermuda. We plan to anchor most of the time while we explore the enchanted island.
