We had a great send off from hop-0-Nose marina this morning... by our friends there.

We left about 0800 hours, but really should have left an hour earlier... as we anchored just, and I mean just, before dark....(actually in this anchorage...Susan and I have arrived, and anchored at midnight... it's that flat, and that secure).
Anyway....WE did carry the EBB tide currents most of the way to the NUC. Plant at Peekskill... plus we had a great push from wind on the stern until about 1500 hours (3 PM)....when it did a complete 180...and came at us over the port bow....
The end result of all that...is that we carried about 6.7 knots as an average speed most of the way down.
NOT bad... The SOG did drop to about 5.8 as we passed under the bear mountain bridge...
Lots' of meanders in the Hudson about there...

We did loose the potable water pump on the way down... but it's been in there and working every day for about three years.... so... I'll replace it tomorrow, as we go along...toward NYC.

We traveled about 66.8 Nautical miles today... Not bad considering...
We're having to learn about the systems again...though...
What not to run while something else is running, etc.
