Clean up -- HUNKER DOWN -- music evening

Thursday -18 APR 2019 – MOW cay -- last few days here

WELL….. we’re rapidly approaching the end or our time here in the Bahamas; We’re hunkering down one last time ( I HOPE it’s one last time)… for a “BLOW” on Friday/ SAT.
Yesterday, we used the hot weather to run errands, (like getting one last load of fresh R.O. water from shore facilities; and getting some gasoline jerry jugs filled… etc.), and then clean the bottom of the AB, and propeller. (Propeller was a little “FUZZY”… with soft growth… but NO barnacles, or hard stuff).. .NICE!!! I cleaned it all OFF with just a few dives down, holding my breath… (Didn’t get out any scuba gear… and all that…)
Last night Dave W. came sailing alongside the AB… just about 7:45 PM… late for a social call… but hey… anyway… he asked if “we wanted to go to the William H. Aubrey, (schooner), and play one last session of music… (Before he leaves for New England)…. WE said “sure”…. So Susan and I gathered up music stool, chair for Susan, guitar, and drinks, and dinghied over to the schooner….
I unpacked the guitar, and started playing …. 40 minutes I played… NO DAVE!!!! We think he got inside his normal sleeping vessel, “s/v TRIBUTE”…laid down, and ZONKED….
I’ll go in just a few minutes and check on him….
After a while, we sort of realized that DAVE was going to be a “no show”…. So we packed up and left the schooner…. Came back to AB… and watched “SEALS” on TV….
NICE evening… BUT not as “planned”… 
Today, after listening to the radio nets (local and then Cruiseheimers (high frequency), we’ve just been relaxing…. Late breakfast, etc.
One of the items on the HF net this AM…. “The high rise bridge at Mile Marker 206.7 on the AICW – near Beaufort NC will be reduced in vertical and horizontal clearances until 2020…. For maintenance” …. SO…. Sailing vessels like ourselves… will be relegated to an ocean passage around that leg of AICW.
We skipped that section in some previous years… thus avoiding the shallow spots of Bogue Sound… But this year… IT’s REQUIRED…. So some judicious weather watching will be in order when we get that far NORTH… .

OK… On with the day…
