24 hour crossing back
28 July 2015 | Shelburne Harbor Yacht Club
Today was a weird day: Carey woke up and had a laughing fit that made her understand the meantime my of "died laughing. We rushed over to fill with fuel and water before the huge storm hit, did some laundry and then had no desire to go in our dingy to Avelinda in the outing rain. So, we spent the day touring the dory and living history museums, went out to a lovely lunch, and headed back around 3:00 for a nap. When we awoke it was like a new day- hot and sunny. Peter did some boat repairs which included fixing the head, tightening the steering, oil, belt and motor check. Tomorrow we hope to leave Shelburne, Nova Scotia, and cross back to Maine. the moon is close to full, tides weather wind and seas seem better tomorrow than later in the week. We estimate it will take us 24 hours to make it through Northeast harbor.
