New Navigation Soft/Hardware

16 June 2013 | Nanaimo to Halfmoon Bay and home to Nanaimo
Laurie
We tried out our new navigational soft/hardware this weekend. It's called Navigatrix and works very well! It really is an operating system and a navigation program. We took a trial sail from Nanaimo to Halfmoon Bay and back home to Nanaimo and found the program pretty easy to use. There is a little bit more that we need to learn to use this to its potential but we sure will have lots of time to perfect that as we circumnavigate Vancouver Island.
Also, Moe received Sea Salt, Recipes from the West Coast Galley for Father`s Day. This is a fabulous book! The authors are `seasoned`sailors, not only as recreational sailors but they have sail racing under their belts. They know how to manage a galley! Great ideas, great recipes and great pictures! I spent some good time with this book as my guide for setting up my galley.
