Bacon is a Ray Wall design 1980 Canadian Sailcraft CS 36 Traditional.CS 36 Traditional"Traditional" distinguishes it from the CS 36 Merlin, a later design by a different architect. She is known for being a soundly built, sweet-sailing Racer/Cruiser. While roomy and comfortably appointed, with a PHRF of 120 she is no slouch in a breeze.Peldon Rose Underway
She sleeps six with a double V-berth in the bow,V-Berth
a double settee and a single settee in the main salon, and a quarterberth.Main Salon
She has a roomy head, a U-shaped galley with deep fridge and 3-burner LPG stove.

What's in a Name?

Why did I name my boat "Bacon"? Truth be told, we were out at the bar one night, somebody said "Hey, you should name your boat Bacon?". Seemed like a good idea at the time.

Can you come up witha better story? Leave it as a comment on this post. Whoever comes up with the best answer to "Why is the boat called Bacon" - that will be the official story.

Mom thought maybe it was an acronym for Burbidge's Adventure - Crazy Or Not. Not bad.
