Leaving San Diego

Wendy
We have been in San Diego nearly a week and the time has flown by. With the last minute provisioning and projects, we have barely had any time to get any Geocaching in (but we did manage to get the one in the middle of San Diego Bay in our dinghy). Everyone here has been busy with their preparations. There are 18 Baja Ha Ha boats on this dock alone. Skid has made a lot of friends already. In fact, someone brought him a meaty beef steak bone tonight. It should be noted that he is not the largest dog doing the Baja Ha Ha...one boat has a Great Dane.
Lee has joined us on Bangorang and we all had fun at the Baja HaHa Halloween Party and Skippers Meeting which occurred today. Lots of great costumes and a Jellyfish won the Wench's category.
We leave on our first leg (to Turtle Bay) tomorrow morning. It will be ~ 350 miles and at least 2 nights at sea. The weather outlook was light but is now improving and we look forward to the start of the Rally with over 140 other boats.
