Landfall Savusavu

Bangorang and crew made landfall at dawn in Savusavu Fiji. We had a great 72 hr x 400 mile passage in near perfect conditions. There was even a bright moon up at night. Note that we have now crossed the 180 degree meridian. We are truly now on the far side of the world!
While there are many regulations for checking in, the various inspectors are very good at their jobs and made the whole process pretty painless. We were onto a mooring in the Copra Shed Marina within a couple of hrs. Our first quick look around town suggests Savusavu will keep us plenty busy for the next week or so.
We're both pretty tired. 3 nights at sea is the minimum to start getting into the night watch rhythm, so tonight will hafta be an early one for us. More later as we explore this area.
