One Week Down
02 May 2016
Wendy
Well, this morning marked one week since we left Marsden Cove. Its a beautiful day; 75 degrees and sunny. The waves have settled down and we are flying the assymmetrical spinnaker, but we NEED MORE SPEED! We were hoping to ride a front up and North towards the islands and cut the corner with the aid of the passing system, but we didn't make it to the correct longitude to do that, so we are going to need to go further east down near 36 degrees latitude to make sure we can avoid some headwinds and then make the left hand turn, ride the trade winds and lay Raivavae. Still at least 10 days to go so not yet half way; but slow and steady.
