And when it was all said and done, this is what we'd done.
****
It was another
somewhat productive day. Sometimes you can wake up with one list of items that need doing, and somehow, someway, accomplish something totally different. How normal is that?
It being a
lazy hazy type of day, the sun obscured by the grey in the skies, we opted to use the lack of sun to wash Banyan's topsides. The Capt'N got his bucket and brushes and sponges and BoatZoap's, and along with a capful of On/Off into the soapy water, he proceed to scrub and brush and rinse the top sides and decks sparkling clean.
Especially the cockpit, boy-oh-boy was it dirty !!
When it all dried, the wood was nice and carmelly coloured again
and we didn't even SnappyTeak it !!
Sometime later, I went after the hatches,
washing all the nooks and crannies, and as you can tell from the bucket water, it was all pretty darn dirty too.
Followed by a wax treatment and then a coat of Vaseline for the seals.
Look at these shiny results !!
The sunsets the past few nights have been spectacular, and being in the marina they are oft hidden from our view. Even though the skies didn't hold much promise, we decided to go chase one down.
Past the marina docks we walked,
Towards the beach.
A magnificent harbour entrance.
The bustling town of St George's.
The setting of the sun.
Look at these exploding colours!!
Magical!
Impressive, and then, in the blink of an eye, it was over. The day was done.
Even if it's a lazy hazy type of day, we always figure it's best to at least Do Something and remember to Chase the Beauty around you. You'll never regret it, guaranteed !!
