Six Wheels are in Motion. And they've skidded into Season Two. Yikes, and Reverse. Say What?

"How'd THAT happen?" asked The Capt'N, with that one eyebrow raised way high Type of Look.

"I really have no idea" I responded, as I brought up the Calendar App on the iPad, and shook my head just as incredulously as he'd been shaking his, and with shock, confirmed the date: May 15

Somehow the seconds have ticked into minutes that tocked into hours and merged into days that blended into weeks that morphed into months and voilà (insert shock and surprise): here we are: May 15th, 2017 !!

"And what were we doing May 15th last year?" we asked ourselves as we took the first sip of our morning coffee ?

"Anxiously waiting and wondering..." said Dave,
"...and drinking coffee" I winked,
".... in Winkler!!" we both said, as we kind of smiled and giggled at the memories, at just how nervous we were about our Crazy Dream of An Adventure. One year ago. Today.

Actually all this is thanks to Facebook Yikes, really? Say Why?

The Facebook On This Day Memories pop up when you Log In, and glance at your Newsfeed. There to remind you exactly what you were doing in your life (or posting about anyways) on a particular date. Way back when many moons ago of YesterYear.

And truly, memories are just that, aren't they? Moments in time, hopefully looked back on today with a smile. Which make you realize just how important this one life we have to live. Today. This moment. Really is!

Which made me sit up with a start, almost knocking my cup of coffee over, and realize just how BEHIND I am with this blog, et al.

Somehow I had the best of intentions. The lack of WiFi and Data excused many attempts away. Time spent Adventuring carried the I have No Time Excuse. Sharing our Adventures with visiting Family and Friends carried the Way Too Busy Excuse. And then as the Escapades built up, day after day after day, trying to tell all y'all about it became an insurmountable mountain to try and find the words for.

To Boot? I kinda lost faith in my words. I felt like I wasn't really doing anything Word-Worthy.

So this morning I sat there, slurping my coffee and smiling, enjoying the Memories that were popping up, giggling at the fun I was having reminiscing and reading up on our past Adventures. And something happened. Truly, an AHA moment.

The smiles and giggles of the Memories were the precise PUSH in the Derrière that I needed. The kick in the butt to move and motivate my Tuckus and get me Wording.



I mean if I don't post anything today, what on Earth will I smile about next year on this date, right? An Adventure chronicled. An Escapade Experienced. A Life Lived with Words so that I can, a year from today (and tomorrow and the day after that), look back at the memories, perhaps over coffee, or a glass of good wine, raise a toast, and smile.

And if ever there was a day to start. Again. It was today. Talk about Serendipitous Coincidence, non?
