It's been one month. ISH.
One month(ish) since we attended the fun time that was the LTV Rally in Winkler, Manitoba. Which you can read all about
HERE .
From Winkler we were going to drive back towards Halifax as the Capt'N was scheduled for a routine medical procedure. And we were going to explore and adventure and visit en route. But then we received an unexpected and most incredible invitation to happen sometime during the month of November, one that we tentatively accepted. And one that had us rethink our route and eventually change our plans. So we were not going to drive back to Halifax after all. Instead we decided to keep on driving on.
And it's been one month(ish) that, after two days of driving, one day in particularly dense smoky landscape that was forest fire induced, that we were thrilled to meet up with Jeff, who was on his annual motorcycle tour, with Jim. Where? At the West Entrance of Yellowstone National Park!! Funny how some of the most innocent places on Earth have becoming fantastic reunion with friends places.
Nothing like sharing some travel tales with friends over vino, right?
It's been one month(ish) ago since we bought our annual NPS Interagency Pass. And because of that little plastic card, it's been one month(ish) of incredibly amazing visits and explorations of (some) of the Great National Parks of the SouthWest. Where each National Park and place that we went to left us Gobsmakced. Breathless and speechless and wordless, and we didn't think for a minute that the next Place could be any better. But then, somehow, it was.
Without Words, here’s some snaps:
Yellowstone, WY
Grand Teton, WY
The Arches, Utah
Mesa Verde, Colorado
Winslow, AZ
Glen Canyon
Bryce (Utah)
Zion (Utah)
Hoover Dam (Nevada)
Grand Canyon North Rim & South Rim, where we discovered that we needed to add the Rim to Rim Hike to our future list of things to do. Don't you just love it when you get inspired. It leaves you... breathless.
And it's been one month's woth of words and photographs that will soon be coming together into sentences and paragraphs that will make up the stories that I'm pretty excited to write and have published. Stay tuned as I work with Leisure Travel Vans on this.
And then we arrived here.
Where we played in fancy places, lost a dollar or two as we pressed a button or two, but best of all? Met up with more friends!
Here is where we stored the MoHo and flew home. Where I'm grateful that all went well with the Capt’N’s medical procedure and we're enjoying family time in the beautiful colours that is Nova Scotia in the fall.
And as for that November invitation? We're in the midst of planning it all. It's just a little... detour... before we return to the MoHo. Stay tuned, it's a little biggie!
It's been one month(ish) since I started a small countdown. A countdown that ends tomorrow, because it all started... tomorrow.
In the wee early hours of the morning of the 21st of October, coincidentally enough it was in 1967 also a Saturday, I was welcomed into this world.
And tomorrow I will officially mark the turning of the last page. The last word of the last sentence before I add that exclamation mark! The turning of the page marks four decades full of chapters full of pages full of paragraphs and sentences that are my memories. Four decades! That's a lot of seconds and minutes and hours and days and weeks and months and years of living!!
I find myself quite eagerly and with much anticipation looking to turn to the blank page where I can begin my 5th decade. Pages that need filling with words and captions and exclamation marks and photographs and emoji faces that will create something! Plenty somethings that will become the memories that will be my life.
I'm excited!
