An arduous move to Oeiras - totally exhausting :-)
19 September 2017 | Oeiras, Portugal
Today started with an early morning walk out to the 'Boca do Inferno' - an interesting bit of well worn rock with a sea arch. Probably more impressive in a thumping southwesterly but a nice walk all the same past lovely Portuguese shoreside houses. Taking advantage of the morning lack of breeze, we then moved Barracuda 5 kn miles east to the little town of Oeiras. The marina in Oeiras is very full and our slot is really meant for a much much smaller boat, so we are sticking out quite a long way into the fairway at the back. The words 'does my bum look big in this' come to mind. We were very glad to be met by Iroquois who ran round to help us squeeze into the space, with only a tiny bop ...
We will base ourselves here now for visits to Lisbon and Sintra. Lots to see, so we may stay a while.
