Checked In for the ARC

From now to the 19th November we will be shore based so our posts will probably take a less nautical slant.
The start of the ARC+ rally was fab. We are now watching their progress on the ARC fleet viewer available on the ARC website (I have embedded a link here so you can click to go straight there).
Yesterday we did our check in for the ARC. This covers confirmation of details of the boat and crew, and being given lots of local information. It is a really efficient organisation and we are very pleased with the way it is set up. It is also proving to be a lot of fun meeting others doing the same and comparing notes.
G had a hair cut by a mobile barber, Anaise, from another boat. K is thinking about following suit but wanted to see the result on G first.
The evening saw our first ARC Sundowners event - these happen just about every evening from now on, often sponsored by various organisations. It was good fun networking with our fellow ARC peeps over a drink.
Today we have our formal safety inspection, which is an ARC requirement. All of us have been preparing hard for this, so we hope we pass.
