Chilling in Chatham Bay
23 December 2017 | Chatham Bay, Union Island, SVG
PSV was a total treat. Lots of swimming in lovely blue water. Oh, and the bar bill turned out to be much more reasonable than expected. We enjoyed cocktails on the terrace at Goaties Bar before returning to the boat for the long waited red snapper and fried plantain. We are doing our best to get into the local cuisine.
Night was a bit windy but otherwise settled.
Today we moved round to Chatham Bay on Union Island. It is very quiet here with only 6 boats in the bay and what looks like a beach bar on the shore. We will see later if it is open. We have seen turtles swimming in the bay. Our only issue is the wind – it is coming off the hill in howling gusts – so not totally sure if we will stay here or move on to Mayreau.
Today’s picture is of a sand bar that we passed where there is a thatched rondavel sitting in the middle of the sea – dreamy.
