Thar She Blows!

A very steady 24 hours progress with 168 miles knocked off. The half-way point is approaching and we have been debating how to define this, though. Is it half the original distance left to run or do we do a calculation taking into account the actual distance sailed so far? Anyway - there will only be 20-30 miles in it when we get to the half way zone around mid-day tomorrow.
We are eating the last of the Mahi Mahi tonight. We have eaten it for lunch and dinner for two days â" totally delicious. Dave is a very good fish cook and has been coming up with interesting sauces and marinades from Barracuda's store cupboard. To whet your appetites, yesterday we had fish sandwiches and fish and (cassava) chips, then fish tacos for lunch today and Thai fish curry for supper tonight. Tomorrow we can get back to fishing again. We only fish for food so once we have what we need, we stop.
Big excitement yesterday when we passed a humpback whale on our starboard side. It was only about 200m away. Big, slow moving, puffing away - an amazing sight.
In addition to the usual squid and flying fish carnage on the decks, this morning we also had the all-too-familiar tell-tale signs of booby crap on the deck. This probably explains why one of the arms on our windex (wind indicator frame on the top of the mast) is bent - they are not designed to hold the weight of a booby!
