Things we will miss the most from life on BattCat - Freedom and no plans; the view from the kitchen; no responsibility other than the 4 of us and no external demands at all; siestas; meditating under the stars on the bow; exploring new islands; dolphin spotting; having everything with us and never having to pack & unpack the car & bags; snorkelling and swimming; being able to move on every time that we get bored; the abundance of thinking time; family closeness!
Things we are so looking forward to when we resume life at home - Seeing our family and friends; hot baths; country walks and cycle rides; flushing loos (no pumping!); waitrose!; being less weather dependant; more personal space (to relax & achieve & stay sane!); cooking in better facilities with better ingredients and recipies; the English & England and civilisation; Running water, gas & bin men!; Sofas and any comfy seats (there are a dearth of these aboard!); Having our lovely things around us!
