Babsea's Adventures

Vessel Name: Babsea
Vessel Make/Model: Jaguar Catamaran South Africa
Hailing Port: Spragge, Ontario Canada
Crew: Bill and Barbara
About:
Bill has been sailing since 1983 on the North Channel of Lake Huron and beyond. We met in 2000 and have been sailing together ever since. Our catamaran Babsea was built in Durban, South Africa and we sailed her home to Ontario in 2005/06 to proudly wear her Canadian flag. [...]
Extra: Bill and I were full time cruisers until 2010 when we built a small home in Ontario on the Spanish River, which runs into the BIG waters, and now spend wonderful summers on the North Channel sailing with friends. Summers there are wonderful.

Babsea in Bocas

Bill and I have been back on Babsea for over 2 weeks; getting her put back together after being away for 6 months. One forgets all the work that has to be done when "waking up" a boat and the first 8 days we were here, it rained cats and dogs. We hired a guy near the marina to repair some gel coat spots and it is taking forever. We should have done it ourselves but.....so we are still at the dock and have decided to stay in Bocas for the Holidays. They will have a Christmas dinner at the Cantina and if it's anything like Thanksgiving(American), the meal will be delicious. After that, we don't have a plan and that's not good for cruisers but we'll prevail and maybe explore more of the Archipelago around Bocas, which is unique and very beautiful. Will try to add pics and update my blog....I promise.
