JUNESSA IS WAITING PATIENTLY...

JUNESSA looks so peaceful and at home anchored out here in the middle of Gig Harbor... Don't let that fool you!!!

I've been sitting out here for two days... using battery power and recharging via solar panels-SO I THOUGHT! I tried to fire up the motor this morning and got a rude awaking! She wouldn't turn over.... "You've got to be kidding me!!!"

I went thru all the connections and made sure they were tight, tried again... still just a CLICK from the stater...

The Link 20 has been LYING TO ME!! It's been showing full charge and for some reason I'm down on the amps to start the motor.

So, I decided to let the solar panels pump out a few more amps and then try again when the winds die down. If she still doesn't want to start, it'll be time to break out the emergency start pack that I bought just for this very occasion.

I did get the windless back up and working and took a long nap.

Wish me luck on the start!!!

THE BOAT

Here's a few shots of my 1985 28 foot Bristol Channel Cutter (BCC) built in Vancouver, BC. She's a full keel fiberglass hull with teak and mahogany wood throughout. She's powered by a Volvo 28hp diesel.

First Day Out

I had a great day learning how to sail my BCC. The learning curve was a little steeper than I had anticipated. The day ended pretty crappy... I couldn't get the engine out of gear and I plowed into the back side of a large powerboat in the slip next to me. OUCH!

New Owner

This was the first day on board Junessa. I looked in every corner on board and climbed to the top of the mast! I had Chinese food and Corona Beer then feel asleep to some beautiful candle light and music.
