Becoming Mrs Argos

What stared out as a family sailing adventure around Australia has changed somewhat! Now its mum and the kids (now aged 17 and almost 15) working it out for themselves while cruising the Queensland coast!

Itinerary

12 October 2011 | Albany Western Australia
Sue Watt
We will leave Albany, depending on weather – any day from 17th – 20 th October
This is our plan at this point, though of course it is totally subject to change depending on weather, enjoying a place, hearing from locals as we travel, other places to stop that are beautiful etc etc!

Day 1 – sail to Two People’s bay drop anchor for night;
Day 2 – sail to Bremer Bay – tie up at marina for night;
Day 3 – sail to Investigator Island – anchor for night;
Day 4 – sail into Esperence – tie up at dock - stay here 1 or 2 days;
Day 6 – sail to Middle Island in the Archipelago of the Recherche – stay here 2 or 3 days – it’s very beautiful;
Day 8 – sail across the Bight to Port Lincoln – we expect, with good winds to take 8 days – with not so helpful winds, up to 14 days or more – we have supplies for 1 month so it’s not a drama either way; We will stop at Port Lincoln for a few days to rest and restock;
Can’t put a day anymore so let’s use the term stop instead of day….
Stop 9 – sail from Port Lincoln to Victor Harbour tie up at wharf for night;
Stop 10 – sail to Robe – this area is very lovely and we will stay a few days here;
Stop 11 – sail to Portland – we will be in Victoria now – tie up at marina for night;
Stop 12 – Sail to Apollo Bay – drop anchor for night;
Stop 13 - Sail to Philip Island – hope to see Penguins – drop anchor for night;
Stop 14 – sail to Wilsons Promontory – pick up mooring for night;
Stop 15 – sail to Eden – this will be a day/ night sail as it’s quite a way – tie up at wharf for 1 -2 days;
Stop 16 – sail to Bermagui – we will stop here for a week or two – tie up at marina;
Stop 17 – head to either Bateman’s Bay if they can get us a mooring or Ulladulla harbour if they can’t.

We are so excited about being so close to heading off - its been wonderful to have had such a long time to prepare - but we are all itching to get going now....
