The joys of easy communication!

When we sailed the Bight we had no contact with the outside world for the seven days we were there. We didn’t mind, it never really occurred to us to be bothered, we were blissfully unaware of how much easier the whole thing would have been for us and our extended family if we had been able to keep in touch with them! We could even have received weather updates!
We purchased our satellite phone later – when we looked back and realised how useful it would have been, determined to never again set off for a significant journey without this wonderful device.
And what a blessing it has been on this journey. We have been able to talk to the fellas frequently, hear how things are going for them, pass on weather information, and generally just put less distance between them and home.
Well I am very happy to share that we have been given a significant amount of free air time by the wonderful people at SatCom Global (our service providers), allowing us to check in a little more often, and talk a little longer for the rest of this trip. We are delighted and very appreciative for their support and pass on our thanks to them.
It is possible for anyone to message them as they sail, via the SatCom web site, where a free sms service is available. Follow this link if you would like to send a message to Peter or Mark, http://isatphonelive.com/#
The wind has once again been quite good, though there is a front of low pressure that is just to the south of them, bringing some storm activity nearby. It looks as if the front will slip further south as it travels eastwards, affecting them even less. We hope so, they so deserve to have things keep going well for them!
