Oh what a long exhausting day! Over the ground we sailed 80NM but with a tidal current against us most of the day our trip log showed we sailed 100NM. We up anchored at 3:30am leaving Beagle Bay by 4am and heading south along the coast. We worked hard and had it all thrown at us from lumpy confused seas (must be a Gulf!), 30 knots on the nose to fickle easterly breezes as we approached the anchorage – ggrrrr. But our efforts were well worth it as Tina and family were there waiting on the shore with a big hug after 5 months and wonderful fresh foods to delight our taste buds! Sis, you are truly the best! Even better Tina had arranged sufficient supply for Illusion who also arrived later even more frustrated plus with a broken jib line, so they had their supplies delivered as they set anchor for the night. Here at last and now we can relax for a while, that is once the groceries, supplies, laundry and repairs (oh, and the bookwork) are all attended to – cruising!
