Marco to Key West ....We are off

27 June 2007
Diane
Monday, we shoved off from Factory Bay Marina at noon heading for Key West. A day we had greatly anticipated, worn out from all the preparation that we needed to do, completing business details and outfitting the boat, our work was finished. Let the journey begin, the weather was perfect, and the seas were flat. Key West or bust, the thought of the day, spend two nights, then onward. We want to say thank you to our friends who shared their experiences, passing along tips, must do's, cautions and even this site. Thank you all.

We have been enjoying relaxation time, a wonderful coffee caf, great food and beautiful weather. Today is Wednesday the day we thought we would be leaving for Ocean Reef. Remember that, NO TIME TABLE, we are pleased to announce, it's in effect! Monday evening as we strolled along after dinner we ran across a great band playing at Schooner Warf, they mentioned they would be playing again tonight at Vergilio's. Wil and I looked at each other with big grins and said, "Why not, let's stay", so that's just what we are doing. Tomorrow, looks like better weather for heading north up Hawks Channel!
