29 July 2014 | National city Marina
This is our 7th trip "camping on our little 20 ft Beluga (Balboa 20) and by far the one where we stayed the longest time "camping" (7 nights) this was possible due to the facilities of the Marina We chose to visit this time.
We stayed on "Pier 32 Marina", the staff of the Marina made us feel very welcomed, an although we were probably the smallest boat in the entire Marina, we enjoyed very much (look for our Beluga in the picture and tell us if you can see our little sailboat).
We had a joy to sail to Coronado city almost every day for breakfast or just to enjoy a walk around the city, by "Glorieta bay" (I realized not too long ago that although most people knows it as a "Coronoado Island it is really a peninsula, because the real Coronado Islands are about 20nm south east of San Diego).
We put another 50 nm on this week sailing on San Diego Bay, I know is not too much but little by little we are getting to know our even little sail boat better, and now we feel safer with the help of our new Tohatsu 6HP Sailpro, the long shaft really helps and take all the stress out of motoring specially with a sailboat

6th trip San Diego July 2013
Another successful trip, we stay on the Chula Vista Marina, with great facilities, very friendly staff and best of all very good neighbors,
Although our little "Beluga" is getting a little small for our growing family of 4 we enjoyed the time we sail a lot by far the longest time spent on the water (about 60 Nautical miles on 3 days, sailing back and forth on San Diego Bay), going daily from Chula Vista to San Diego and to Coronado Island. The Wind was perfect the weather was too, with a little sprinkle during the day, and a little bit of fog in the morning, but sure they were a great relaxing vacation, too short but very relaxing.

We needed to get back to this wonderful place we had a great weather on this Labor Day Week, perfect for Sailing, we had a chance to anchor in a little place called "El Acuario" means "the Aquarium" this place is a little cove ideal to swim and snorkel around, as this is nested inside three little hills and prevents the winds coming from south or north to hit allowing a perfect place to anchor and play around.

We had the fortune of spent a full week in San Carlos Sonora Mexico, this place is amazing!!! we had very good winds although it was a little bit hot and the the levels of humidity very high, The good part is that we were just right next to the water and at 78 degres was just right, This place has many little coves that are perfect for snolkeling arround and explore the reef life of the sea of cortez, We did not had a chance to explore all the coves, but definetly is a place to return and keep exploring.

Lake Pleasant AZ April 2011
Just weekend at Lake Pleasant North of Phoenix, very nice winds (10 to 15 knots).Sailing in Lakes (dam) is kind of tricky due to the wind shifts coming out from the shadow of a hill to another, sometimes you have no wind and all of the sudden you have a shift in direction and the speed of the wind, so it is a good place to learn sailing skills
