The big city :)

We sailed around to Marion this morning. There was a lovely SW breeze with a bight and warm morning sun, and it was only 5nm. I hope no-one was watching because the main stayed furled and Hawk did it under jib alone.
It was a forest of masts entering the harbor. I spent a bit of time looking for a spot to anchor, but it seemed wall to wall mooring buoys. I asked a passing launch and they pointed out the 'designated anchorage' - a small area marked by 4 white floats. I managed to wedge in using 2.5:1 scope - glad we have the huge anchor and that we are early in the season and no-one else is trying to anchor!
I went ashore for lunch - a roast beef sandwich at Uncle Don's coffee shop - quite nice, and picked up some fresh fruit at the general store, and that seemed about the extent of the town. My guide says there is also a laundry somewhere ashore which I may try to find in a couple days.
