Plans and shifting sands
02 June 2013 | Onset, cape cod canal
We spend a very nice couple weeks in Buzzards bay, meeting some old cruising friends and making a couple new ones.
We are now anchored in Onset, a great little harbor inside the cape cod canal.
That puts us just about right on our original schedule (which was June 1st in the Canal). But our longer term plans from here may be changing. I was hoping to get some serious distance north, but a few recent phone calls with my parents are suggesting I may need to help them move sometime this summer, and staying closer to home (like Maine, or western Nova Scotia) may make more sense. It's all a bit uncertain right at the moment, so my current thinking is to hang out at Onset perhaps thru the end of next week, when my parents summer may (or may not) become more clear and then decide where and when to move further on. The long range weather forecast has a big low moving thru on the 8th, so I will probably wait for it to pass or disappear.
This has been a very leisurely cruise so far, and that may continue all summer . . . unlike our normal charging off at high speed.
