Under way
We set off in moonlight from port Arthur and motored back out into open water. As impressive as Cape Tasman is, we were quite pleased to get around and head north. A few albatross followed us and surfed the wind currents to pass just under our bow. There have been a few sail changes to suit conditions from reefed genoa only to full working sail. Maria island looms ahead and should be abeam by mid afternoon. The boys are in the cockpit watching the speedo and getting excited when we hit 7 knots plus. So, on we sail in pleasant conditions and anticipate a night run to take us further up the east coast of Tassie.
