Day 14

We explore the docks and areas around. These docks are huge. We walk miles. Found a Starbucks in town.

San Diego

23 October 2016 | San Diego.
Customs station closed. Phone in only now. We phoned in and they said thanks for phoning in, go ahead.
From what I can see of it cruisers such as our selves are somewhat low risk.
We really lucked out with us finding a yacht club that was able to put us on a guest dock for a couple of nights.
One of our crew has a niece in san Diego and she has visiting privileges at the SouthWestern yachts club so we got in.
Wow what a great yacht club. In my opinion its the best on the west coast.
A recently re built club house with very reasonable prices at the bar.
We quickly picked up a friend who showed us around and got us a dock to stay in till the beginning of the cruisers rally.
What luck.
Next days or two he drove us around and even got us into the Naval base liquor store so we got a discount on our booze purchase.
Just lucky I guess. People can be so nice.
