Well we were going to leave Martinique tomorrow but I my soda stream has run out of gas and I kniw I can replace the cylinder here in Forte de France, so I am off on a bus trip tomorrow. Hopefully leave for Dominica Thursday. We had a quiet Australia Day although I decorated the boat with Australian flags.
We saw Mt Pele today with minimal clouds as you can see in attached photo. This is the volcano that erupted in 1902 killing 30,000 people who stayed on the advice of the government and the local schoolteacher. Considering they know little about volcanoes in1902, it was poor advice. Don't believe everything those schoolteachers tell you.
