The weather has settled down finally with forecast winds from Predictwind of 15 to 20 knots so we left Portsmouth this morning at 9:30 in glorious sailing. You can see from the photo that Glenda prefers this type of sailing over sailing in 30 to 35 knots hard on the nose while creating 4 to 5 meter swells from the open Atlantic. The spray from waves hitting the bow went horizontal across the boat.
Today's sailing was extremely variable starting off on a beam reach in an easterly then the breeze went 180 degrees to the west for about an hour and then swung back to the east reaching 20 knots, then dropping out to 1 to 2 knots. Still very enjoyable.
