5 hour walk through forest

We are now in Grande Anse on the island of Martinique waiting for the forecast winds to be < 30knots, perhaps by Tuesday. We decided to walk to the bay north of us and chose a 4km through the forest. The walk was great although climbing up and over 250 metre hill was steep. We then arrived at Anse Dufour and had a lovely snorkel, plenty of choral and reef fish in clear warm water.
Lunch at the local restaurant shows that you do not order a hamburger in a French restaurant. Glenda ordered the hamburger which was terrible whereas I ordered omelette jam on which came in a French stick, which was great when washed down with a couple of bottles of Lorraine beer (and he hasn't stopped rubbing it in!).
After lunch we then took another trail through the forest which travelled alongside a river, and sometimes in the river as you can see by the attached selfie, again the walk was always in shade and was lovely although it took 2.5 hours. We arrived back at grande anse for coffee and foot rest time (I would love a hot spa but have only been offered warm seawater!).
