Well now, how long did I live and/or work in Ballard, ...ten years? And it wasn't until I left and had only returned for a visit that I attended the Freemont Solstice Day Parade. As you can see in the cover photo for this entry, it's quite an affair. I would post more photos in the album, but I'm keeping them all to myself. No, not really. It's just that I'm (only very) slightly concerned that they might get me in trouble with the SailBlogs site.

Even if you zoom in close, there's not too much to see and there certainly wasn't anything obscene going on unless that's how you think about the human body, but there ARE some people who just shouldn't be out in public naked. Also, some of the body parts looked, to me anyway, to be in somewhat awkward circumstances related to their bicycle seats. Enough said?

So I started the day with a completely different plan in mind. I met up with Swan, my old coffee drinking buddy, for a clatch at Starbucks a little after eight. Then I peddled down to Fisheries marine supply and spent far too much money, but on necessary project supplies. Arriving back at the boat, Len and Karlee invited me to boat over to Freemont for the parade. What the hell, ...why not?

Needless to say, projects didn't get done and I've felt lazy ever since I got back, so this'll be one of my shorter entries. Stay tuned, though, I'm heading up to the San Juans tomorrow or monday.
