A family visit to Barcelona would be incomplete without a visit to the main attractions , but where do you start ?
An open top bus tour will give you a good overview of what is available , Barcelona is HUGE A major cosmopolitan city with all the trappings.
We had previously walked miles around Barcelona looking at Gaudi and the architecture , this visit was to be more about the kids and as we had a grandchild with us (Elliot) we simply had to visit the aquarium.
So a train trip to the city was on the cards (again) so off we went ,I'd forgotten how much stuff you need with a baby in tow , simply getting on and off the train is a mission.
See pictures in the gallery !!
It's a big place full of fish ! it's on a par with the one we visited in Plymouth ,but once you've seen one I guess you've seen them all 😀
By the time we had wandered the acquarium and gotten back onto the bus every body was ready for a siesta
We have only scratched the surface of this amazing city, we wanted to visit the football stadium, the cable cars and so many other places, there just isn't time in a week !
The trip back to the train station was pretty punishing as the ast train leaves at 20;45 and we had 5 km to walk within a short time or miss the train.
