Fatu Hiva

06 May 2011
Dramatic rock formations and beautiful green cliffs make a stunning backdrop to the anchorage which is no more than a notch in the island. A collection of neat, well kept homes (most of them all the same 'kit-set') are dotted along a concrete road. There are a few satellite dishes and cars. Everyone is well dressed and there seems no shortage of anything. Fruit is abundant and almost all the men are carvers. No internet here that we have found. There is an unhurried feeling to the place, and a certain aura of calm.
