Raroia atoll

What a lovely atoll this is. The people in the village are very friendly, as are neighbors who hosted a little happy hour for the rest of us who arrived yesterday. We entered the pass with 2 German boats that were in the Marquises with us. We calculated slack tide incorrectly and had a washing machine to plough through, making less than 1 knot against it under full throttle. Huge tuna were leaping out of the standing waves all around us. The entire island seems to be involved in pearl farming here, and it is a prosperous looking place.
