We photographed the top of the mast today with the zoom (in leiu of going up there!) and are comfortable that there is no significant chafe on the halyards holding up the broken furler. Considering the boisterous conditions, that is a relief. Our shortened sail area is all we need for now anyway. Today we cracked our speed record since leaving Mexico at 12.6 knots. 345 miles to go.
