I am home now....Joanne drove to Whangarei and picked me up and I got home last night. I had a great trip. The last day before arriving in Whangarei was pretty crappy with wind of 30 to 40 knots on the nose and a short steep sea making a bouncy ride. All was good though, with Blue Moon being such a sweet boat. The wind unexpectedly dropped the final night and we were able to get into Whangarei on Sunday morning without a problem. The best part of the trip was stopping in Minerva Reef. I could sail from Tonga to Nz 10 times and never have such ideal conditions for stopping. Calm seas, no rain, and an ideal tide for exploring. Thanks to Rob and Jo and Blue Moon.....
