Cuttyhunk to Gloucester
09 May 2016 | Gloucester
Sunny very calm 60s
Left early from Cuttyhunk, right to Cape cod canal. We had favoable current and calm seas in buzzards bay. When in the canal we saw up to 11 knots. Stopped for fuel at sandwich marine at the cape cod bay end if the canal. Nice guy owner, has a house in the Exumas he spends his winters at. Planned to head to Provincetown but when we got into the bay it was so smooth we decided to run for Gloucester. It was noon and again the current helped us and we made it about 630. 90 miles in one day was a great day run! With that we'd be headed easily for our home port of Kennebunkport the next day!
