Some time off from the Boatyard

Well we have completed a number of boat projects... and several more have presented themselves, as they always do. Generator rebuild is now complete. Part of the toe-rail is in the shop getting repaired. Both shaft seals have been replaced, all through-hulls serviced, emergency hatches serviced and and the bob-stay connections to the hull have been removed, cleaned and reinstalled.
So we decided to take a few days off and visit a small B&B on the Gold Coast. Beautiful beach, great restaurants and some good hiking. We had a wonderful climb up Mt. Warning in northern NSW. It was a 8km walk with a bit of a scramble (hanging on to a chain) near the top, but the view from the summit was outstanding.
Some time off was great, but we still have a few more engine issues to resolve... rear main seal on the stbd engine and a broken water pump bracket on the port engine need replacing. We also need to get our sails back onboard (which have been in a local loft getting repaired) and install the repaired toe-rail.
That’s life on a boat... always something to repair.
