Florida's West Coast
18 February 2014 | Between Useppa and Cabbage Key
We are day sailing down the GIWW and stopping when we want to or where we can. Anchorages can sometimes be full or inadequate for our 5'9" draft. Currently we are just north of Sanibel Island between the private island of Useppa and Cabbage Key. Both have interesting histories and we plan on hiking the nature trails around Cabbage Key tomorrow before moving on south on Thursday or Friday. It has warmed up nicely as we've moved south, today was a 'shorts and t-shirt' day! These are some of the houses on Useppa right behind us. We are just off the ICW in 11 feet of water.
