Heading South Again
20 February 2014 | Florida SW coast
Hey Y'all,
We pulled the anchor up from Rum Cove and headed south today after a fun visit to Cabbage Key. We hiked and saw the wildlife, dinghied around and saw more Osprey than you could imagine. As we sailed along the ICW we saw the biggest Osprey we'd ever seen, but as we got closer we realized that it was in fact, a Bald Eagle. There was an Osprey that was trying to spook the Eagle off the post, sort of funny to watch, the eagle's wing span is huge compared to the Osprey. Tonight we are anchored in Cape Coral's Glover Bight and tomorrow we head offshore to Marco Island. Hopefully, Saturday around noon we'll set sail for Key West and arrive there on Sunday morning.
