Mysore Mornings.......
19 November 2017 | Mysore City Centre
early morning......
Sunday today, day off from Yoga practice, in fact I also had yesterday off as it was a moon day, both full and new moon days are taken as holidays from practice, few different theories here but they all kind of lean to saying that there is too much energy about on these days and you might just get a bit over excited and hurt yourself, so a day off it is.
I had an early morning wander about the city centre, best time to be there before it gets too mental with traffic, the photo is of a statue of King Chamarajendra Wodeyar, which was made by an English sculptor but had to have his head lopped off and redone by an Indian chap as it looked to British!...fair enough I reckon....It sits in the main crossroads right in front of Mysore Palace. Maharaja Chamarajendra Wadiyar X was the twenty-third maharaja of the Kingdom of Mysore, between 1868 and 1894 and was apparently an all round good egg and snappy dresser. Well done that man.....
What to do with myself with all this time off? stayed up to 11pm last night, crikey! crazy days indeed, haha, back to the 9pm curfew tonight ready for early doors start tomorrow.
