The MELTEMI is blowing!!

In this part of the world there are different winds that blow during different times of the year. Whenever you hear of a wind having a name you know that its a serious wind. In Gibraltar there is the Levanter, in Italy it is the Tramontana and Scirocco, in France the Mistral and in Greece and Turkey there is the Meltemi.
This is the time of the year that the Meltemi is in full force and for the past two days we have been experiencing it's full wrath. Winds gusting to 30 knots and choppy seas in our anchorage makes life aboard a tad bit uncomfortable.
Today we had two boats drag their anchor and two others that pegged themselves against the dock due to inexperienced captains.
Tomorrow I should have the new prop, hopefully the winds calm down so that I can dive under the boat and install it. Once we get the prop installed, it's off to the Corinth Canal and then on to Athens.
