Marina Time

Shagette and Louise. We had the use of the car for three hours to do some shopping and exploring the local area.
Two nights in the marina was just enough time to enjoy long hot showers, unlimited water and power on the boat and a little bit of TV. We arrived in to the marina around 3.30pm after pounding down from Woodwark Bay under motor. That evening we enjoyed a simple meal at the restaurant on the marina.
This morning (Tuesday) we tidied the boat, I went in to town to get a script for some medication and we picked up Shagette at midday. Shagette is one of two complimentary cars available to members of the Shag Island Yacht Club. It is a virtual club and raises funds for prostate and breast cancer. Every member is a Vice Commodore too! Anyway, we had the car for three hours so decided to go into Proserpine for a look around. It's quite a small town, smaller than we expected, and we did a little shopping before enjoying lunch in a nice cafe that would not look out of place in Fitzroy! We then headed back towards Airlie Beach, stopping at the largish shopping complex to get provisions.
When we got back we had new neighbours, Dennis and Ros on their Adams boat. They are from Tasmania and are taking their boat "Miri" back home over the next few months. We unpacked and washed down the boat and as we were finishing Geoff and Penny came to chat with our neighbours. One thing led to another and we were invited for drinks on Geoff and Penny's lovely catamaran. We had a very enjoyable time and it was nice to chat with some other people for a while.
Back on Breezly around 7.45pm Louise cooked a meal of crumbed cutlets and we were in bed pretty soon after dinner.
