Kwajalein

Downtown Kwajalein
So Kwajalein is a grain of America, a real American oasis, in the middle of the Pacific. We have access to a small grocery store, retail store, bowling alley, beaches, marina with plenty of rental power and sail boats. We have all the free food and deserts we care to eat at the chow hall and we wash no dishes. Brick House looks abandoned leashed to a protected mooring while we live in a company supplied one bedroom apartment.
Another thing we have here are friends. Americans from every state work here. They have come alone or with a spouse or friend, to have an adventure but in some cases, with the difficult economy in the U.S., it is the only job they could find.
