After 24 hours on the hop, we pulled into Star Harbour, a very snug and sheltered little anchorage at the bottom of San Cristobel Island. The adjacent village of Na Mugha looked very small and rustic, but curiously Queen Elizabeth & Prince Philip paid a visit to it 40 odd years ago. One can only wonder at their motivation, or how they occupied themselves, though no doubt the Prince got in a few quips with the locals about their fuzzy hair. No sooner had we anchored than we got ready to leave. Re-fueled, oil change etc. Sched with Jeremy (Nalukai) at 2000, weighed anchor at 2100. Takes a certain degree of nerve to leave a coral festooned harbour like that in pitch black. Either that, or Google Earth files on your notebook. But the forecast looked good, so time to get going. Just coincidence that we pulled out 3 hours before Friday started. We're not superstitious. No point in taking needless chances though, is there? Motorsailed for 3hrs and achieved 14.8 nm. Ended Thursday night next to the last little island, right on the edge of the great Pacific Ocean.
