Set out with good forecast & high hopes. Sun shining, water clear and blue. Soon crossed the Solomons trench, 8000m deep. But things deteriorated. Wind got up, clouds loomed. Friday afternoon turned into a succession of gusty - and wet - squalls. In the evening the squalls settled, but the wind kept up strong. Hard yakka! Punching into the wind all day, that's not quite where we want it. Still, managing ok. Jack doing very well. 100nm achieved in more or less the right direction.
