We began our trip to Key West at 6:27 this morning on a cold clear day. We had beautiful weather all day and traveled about 90 miles to Branford, CT. We spent the morning on the fly bridge in the great fresh air, including a cruise-by of our good friends Doug and Sue Volgenau's house on Groton Long Point while Sue waved from their sea wall, then after having lunch in the warm, snug pilothouse decided that was a great place to spend the afternoon. We arrived in Branford just before sunset and spent the evening having wine on the boat and then dinner nearby with Rich's brother Steve, his wife Laurie and their friends Bob and Nancy.
