We left Great Kills at dawn on Thursday and headed for the New Jersey Coastline. Our plan was to get to Atlantic City by sunset to have the option of stopping for the night or continuing on. Based on the weather forecasts for a stormy Saturday we decided to keep going while we had dry and relatively calm weather. We rounded Cape May at the end of New Jersey by 10:30 Thursday night in not quite so relatively calm weather, entered the Chesapeake through the C&D Canal by dawn today and arrived in Annapolis at 2:30 this afternoon. Depending on tomorrow's weather we may stay until Sunday.
