We had a lazy day underway at 10:00 a.m. and a comfortable relatively short ride from Oxford to Solomons Island. We are overnight at a fuel dock at a working marina - no frills here but we were greeted by three other travelers offering line handling assistance. One of the other boats at the dock is a 1973 wooden Grand Banks Trawler. It's a classic. Our friends LuAnn and Chuck Miller came for a boat tour and glass of wine on the flying bridge and then off to a restaurant for another wonderful Maryland Crab dinner. I love the idea that we can stop along the way to visit with friends we don't often get to see.
